FIXED BROADBAND WIRELESS ACCESS PRODUCTS

The cost and timescale of implementing a fixed fibre or wireline access infrastructure or implementing costly leased line connectivity are areas which can be viewed as prohibitive to network expansion.  However, Broadcast Radio Products are viable and cost effective alternative solutions, which can be rapidly deployed to meet the needs of your network growth requirements.

Our products provide reliable, cost-effective solutions for Ethernet, T1/E1, and converged IP and TDM transport. Cellular backhaul, public access, security and private network operator solutions are available for the 2.4 GHz, 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands

WinLinkT Datasheet Radwin WinLink 1000
WinLinkT 1000 products are carrier-class, high capacity and extremely competitive point-to-point solutions.

With the ability to combine both legacy TDM and Ethernet services over 2.3-2.4GHz and 4.9-5.9GHz spectrum bands, the WinLink 1000 products are suitable for deployment in FCC and ETSI regulated countries.

The WinLinkT 1000 OFDM optical line-of-sight and non line-of-sight technology to overcome typical urban obstacles such as trees and buildings.

WinLinkT 1000 products provide high capacity connectivity of up to 48 Mbps, high range of up to 80km/50 mi, and rapid deployment of E1/T1s and Ethernet links at a fraction of the cost of leased lines or fiber. WinLinkT 1000 efficiently addresses service providers and private networks requiring immediate deployment of solutions for applications such as: multi-site connectivity, broadband access and backhauling. Available at multiple frequency bands and at various configurations, all WinLinkT 1000 products are highly robust, simple to install and extremely competitive.

The time division multiplexed (TDM) option can replace expensive leased full and fractional E1/T1 circuits while supporting legacy TDM traffic and increasing network capacity. Importantly where the WinLinkT 1000 has been deployed for this application in cellular backhaul environments it has proven accuracy in the transportation of synchronisation to the BTS/Node B, critical in ensuring quality of service, reducing call drop off and decreasing customer churn.

WinLinkT 1000 Architecture

WinLink 1000 point-to-point solution is made up of a number of key components. Each side of the link comprises of an Indoor Unit (IDU) , Outdoor Unit (ODU) and an antenna . The link is managed via the WinLink 1000 Manager application.

The Indoor Unit (IDU) The IDU provides the user with TDM and Ethernet ports to connect to the link on both sides. The IDU is available in two configurations:

1./ IDU-E - a half 19'  1U plastic unit, providing one Ethernet port and 0-2 E1/T1 interfaces. The IDU-E complies with FCC/ETSI/CSA standards and can be powered via 110-240VAC or -48VDC.

2./ IDU-C - a 19'  1U metal unit, providing two Ethernet ports and 4xE1/T1 interfaces. The IDU-E complies with FCC/ETSI/CSA standards and can be powered via redundant 110-240VAC, -48VDC and 24VDC.

The Outdoor Unit (ODU)
The ODU can be pole or wall mounted. It includes all radio components and connects to the IDU via a CAT5 cable. The different ODUs of the WinLink 1000 product family are available at various frequency bands and currently include the following options:

  • 2.3 GHz
  • 2.4  GHz (ETSI or FCC)
  • 4.9 GHz (FCC)
  • 5.3 GHz (FCC)
  • 5.4 GHz (ETSI or FCC)
  • 5.8 GHz (FCC)

The ODU comes in two different form factors:

  1. ODU with integrated 1ft flat panel antenna (available for most frequencies).
  2. ODU with a connector for an external antenna.

Whatever your Broadband Radio requirements, Horsebridge has the answer.

Horsebridge offers a long-range wireless connectivity solution to suit a variety of applications.

The versatility and robustness of the solutions help operators maximise revenues while maintaining ease of support.

Corporate and Public Sector Premises Connectivity
Multiple-building connectivity presents many challenges for organizations wishing to extend their networks beyond the head office. Obstacles like roads, highways, waterways, etc. can make wireline connections, if available, extremely expensive. Fixed wireless access removes these obstacles.

Rural connectivity
Affordable high-speed wireline (ISDN, T1, DSL, cable and fiber) connectivity is not always available in rural areas as it would require running long distance cables through forests, mountains and other rough terrain. Redline's broadband wireless products offer a cost-effective solution for rural connectivity.

Hotspot Backhaul
Hotspot backhaul is the last mile connection that carries data traffic from the public wireless LAN to the Internet, often via expensive E1 lines. Alternative wired solutions could also cost thousands of pounds per year. High-speed fixed wireless access can extend networks over wide areas to reach challenging hotspot locations, often due to the product's unique non-line-of-sight capabilities.

Off Shore Installations
Remote industrial oil-drilling platforms require reliable, high-speed connectivity for applications including telecommunications services and internet access.

Educational Campus's
A broadband network within schools increases its network capacity and enhances their ability to run data, distance learning, video conferencing, VoIP, student administration and human resources applications.
