Cable Assemblies

Horsebridge can build all types of cable assemblies and interconnection solutions to exceed even the most demanding specifications.

We have a wealth of experience in these areas of bespoke manufacture

CAT.5 Data Cables
Cat5 cables commonly used for networking or patch panels. We can accommodate any length of cable, sheath colour and boot colour within the Cat5 range. These cables can be made to both T568A and T568B EIA/TIA568 conductor configurations. When terminated the connectors exceed the minimum Cat 5 standard of -40dB @ 100Mhtz. Assemblies are tested to Cat5 standards and a report for each cable tested can be supplied on request.

BT 226
Widely used in the telecommunications sector, these assemblies are produced in a variety of configurations, coupled with a variety of cable types including CW1308, Cat 5 and ribbon cable. Terminations are produced using manufacturer supplied IDC presses, to achieve optimum performance.

RF Coaxial
The range includes: BT Type 43 series, BNC, 1.0/2.3 and SMB connectors coupled with BT3002, 2002, 2003, RG179, RG58, RG59 and RA7000 cables. Terminations are produced using manual and semi-automatic calibrated tooling, and are tested using dedicated 34Mb/s test equipment.

D-type
D-type assemblies for various applications can be provide by Horsebridge. Cable types include Belden multi-pair screened/shielded, multi-core, and communications 120 twisted pair. These are coupled with either solder or crimp connectors and a range of plastic, metal and metalised plastic hoods. All assemblies are tested using ''Cirris SignatureTM'' test equipment

Custom cables, cable harnesses and looms
From the very smallest loom to complex looms, we are able to design and build your loom to your exact requirements. Design engineers can be brought into your project at the very start to guide and suggest method of build.
All current cable technologies and data transmission media can be assembled.

To design your cable loom/harness, we use the recognised CAD package AutoCad®, which enables accurate loom design and easy modification. The Engineering team are able to receive CAD files over the internet or on floppy disk or CDROM from customers.

Cabinet Population and Build Solutions
Horsebridge cabinet population and build solutions offer a total manufacturing solution, assembly of all rack and cabinet styles, from 19" rack module assemblies through to full cabinet hard wire assembly.

We have a wealth of experience in these areas of bespoke manufacture whether it be a front panel assembly, including switches and displays, or a full harness complete with connectors, switches and fuses Horsebridge can offer a solution to meet your unique requirements. Where required we will manufacture or procure all piece parts necessary including metalwork and machined products. Electronic assembly design and manufacture

Horsebridge have the ability to provide advanced electronic assembly design and manufacture services for industry and commerce at the leading edge of technology.

Services embrace conceptual design and layout through to final packaged product and includes the development and manufacture of customer specified products.

A highly qualified and experienced engineering team designs analogue and digital systems to precise and demanding client specifications. These include microprocessor control modules that incorporate conventional, surface mount fine pitch and Ball grid array components.

Horsebridge have provided a range of Cabinet and Enclosure products and Cabinet Population and Build Solutions which are deployed throughout the world with Texcel customers.

Development of products for specific UK Military applications has been undertaken jointly by Oscilloquartz with Horsebridge as one of the customers utilising our Electronic Design Services.
