Providing Transparent and Dynamic Wavelength Services
Wavelength services have become a major source of revenue for many operators, and the demand for this service continues to increase rapidly.
Also, service providers are saying that fast response to any connectivity demand and transparent connectivity for all service types are mandatory for Wholesale and Enterprise applications.
Horsebridge are able to offer best-in-class, multi-degree WSS ROADM technology, together with fully tunable lasers and power equalization capabilities, offers true network flexibility by providing up to a 40G wavelength to any node ("any-to-any"), and connectivity in ring or mesh topologies. There is no need to predefine traffic demands, add or reroute wavelengths.
Our optical solution is based on Optical Transport Network (OTN) technology, which provides carrier-grade capabilities and ensures appropriate QoS for each service type. Sub-lambda services can be groomed over a single pipe while each one is kept intact with its overhead and original timing clock. It uses its own protection scheme according to the service level agreement with the customer. Alien Lambda services are also supported, reducing network Capex.
Combined with a comprehensive network management system, providing simplified network planning and service provisioning. New services can be defined by simple point-and-click. The NMS also responds quickly to new and unexpected traffic demands and reduces operating and maintenance costs.
